Once associated only with desktop peripherals, USB I/O devices are now commonly found in industrial and OEM applications. Voltage spikes, power surges, and ground loops that affect traditional serial interfaces also affect USB devices. The SeaI/O-270U is an optically isolated USB hub that connects up to seven USB peripherals and protects the host computer from voltages up to 1500 VAC. The SeaI/O-270U is ideal for adding USB ports to a SeaI/O data acquisition ""stack"" or a Relio R1000 embedded solid-state industrial computer. The SeaI/O-270U integrates patent-pending SeaLATCH USB ports, which are fully compatible with standard USB cables. When used with the included USB cable with a SeaLATCH USB type B connector, the metal thumbscrew provides a secure metal-to-metal connection to the hub and prevents accidental cable disconnection. The hub's seven SeaLATCH USB type A connectors can secure USB peripherals to the hub in the same way. Order optional USB cables with SeaLATCH USB connectors below, or use standard USB cables. Additionally, the SeaI/O-270U's highly-retentive type B connector helps prevent unintentional separation from a standard USB cable. The SeaI/O-270U includes an industrial grade wall-mount power supply that outputs 12VDC @ 2.5A, providing a full 500mA to each attached USB peripheral. Status LEDs on the hub indicate external power, connection to the host, and fault conditions. Supported in Windows, Linux, and other USB aware operating systems, the SeaI/O-270U requires no separate software drivers and is easy to install. Simply provide power to the hub using the included power supply, plug the hub into an available USB port with the included cable, and the hub is automatically recognized. Sealevel’s HUB7i is an optically isolated USB hub that connects up to seven USB peripherals and protects the host computer from voltages up to 5500 VAC. The HUB7i includes an industrial grade wall-mount power supply that provides up to 4000 VAC isolation. For specialized applications, an optional medical grade power supply is available that increases the isolation to 5500 VAC, which offers the highest level of protection available from any USB hub manufacturer. Status LEDs on the HUB7i indicate external power, connection to the host, and fault conditions. The hub is housed in a rugged plastic enclosure and is USB 1.1 compliant and USB 2.0 compatible. The HUB7i integrates a high-retention USB type ""B"" connector that prevents accidental disconnection of the USB cable, while the seven type ""A"" connectors provide a full 500mA to each attached USB peripheral.
