The 7901 is a 3U compact PCI serial interface that provides two RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 serial ports for demanding automation and control applications. Each port can be field configured to RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 for maximum flexibility. Our revolutionary Automatic RS-485 Enable circuit is included onboard to simplify multidrop network connections. 16C850 UARTs with deep 128 byte FIFOs are standard to reduce system overhead, even at high speeds. For user's that require custom baud rates, isochronous communications, or 9-bit protocol, the 7901 compact PCI serial interface is available with the Oxford 16C950 UART. Call for details.

The 7902 adapter board attaches to any 3U CompactPCI board and allows it to be used in a 6U slot. This effectively turns any 3U CompactPCI board into a 6U board. The PCB material helps to maintain proper airflow in the CompactPCI chassis.

The 7903 is a 3U Compact PCI interface adapter with two isolated serial I/O ports. It provides two field selectable RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 serial ports supporting data rates up to 921.6K bps. Isolation is important in installations where the equipment connected to the PC is either located far from the host system, or on a different power transformer circuit. For user's that require custom baud rates, isochronous communications, or 9-bit protocol, the 7903 compact PCI serial interface is available with the Oxford 16C950 UART. Call for details.
