The 2208 is a two-port embedded USB to RS-232 serial adapter intended for mounting directly to a PC's chassis, eliminating the need for external converters and providing a clean, professional installation. The board is USB bus powered with each port capable of data rates to 460K bps, and installs inside a standard height computer in a spare bracket location. The 2208 includes a standard PC bracket with two DB-9 male connectors and two 14"" USB header cables (Item# CA260) that connect to most motherboard USB box header connectors and use two USB ports (one per serial port). Other USB header cable options are available on a custom design basis. Sealevel's SeaCOM USB software drivers and utilities make installation and operation easy using Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP and Vista operating systems. After installing the software, simply connect the SeaLINK® serial interface adapter to your USB port and the device is immediately recognized by the system as a standard COM: port.

The SeaLINK+485-DB9 offers fast, reliable serial communication for even the toughest environments, including factory floor, mobile, and outdoor applications.

The serial port appears as a standard COM port to the host computer enabling easy setup and providing compatibility with legacy software. The SeaLINK+485-DB9 features programmable baud rate and data formats with 128-byte transmit and 384-byte receive buffers for fast, error-free communication. Each adapter includes a removable terminal block adapter (Part# TB34) that simplifies field wiring. Thumbscrews on the TB34 secure the terminal block adapter to the serial port and prevent accidental disconnection.

SeaLINK+485-DB9 is compatible with all standard PC baud rates and supports high-speed communication to 921.6K bps. The adapter is powered by the USB port and status LEDs molded into the enclosure indicate serial data activity and connection to the host.

All SeaLINK USB serial adapters ship with Sealevel Systems SeaCOM™ suite of Windows drivers and diagnostic utilities. The SeaLINK® 2404 4-port USB to serial adapter offers an easy way to connect multiple serial devices via a single USB port. The 2404 uses a state-machine architecture that greatly reduces the host computer’s overhead when communicating over multiple ports simultaneously. RS-232 data rates up to 921.6K bps are supported. The 2404 is housed in a rugged, attractive plastic enclosure with a high-retention USB type ""B"" connector that prevents accidental disconnection of the included USB cable. Sealevel's SeaCOM USB software drivers and utilities make installation and operation easy using Windows 98SE, ME, 2000, XP and Vista operating systems. After installing the software, the serial ports appear as standard COM ports to the host system enabling compatibility with legacy software. The 2404 is USB bus powered, so no external power supply is required. For conveniently powering serial peripherals, ordering options allow an external power source to be connected to a DC jack on the rear of the unit. The supplied power is fused and connected to pin 5 on each of the eight RJ45 connectors.
