SNAP-AIPM Single-Phase Power Monitoring Module
Opto 22 SNAP-AIPM Opto 22 Logo
SNAP-AIPM analog input module helps you measure and control power usage in your facility. The SNAP-AIPM module
simultaneously measures single-phase volts AC RMS and amps AC RMS and calculates true power and volt-amps.
Leading or lagging power factor can then be calculated from true power and volt-amp values.

Part of the SNAP PAC System, the module mounts on a SNAP PAC rack with a SNAP PAC brain or rack-mounted
controller. Analog, digital, and serial I/O modules can all be on the same rack. Such an I/O unit is also well suited for
PC-based control or for use as intelligent remote I/O for an Allen-Bradley RSLogix PLC system, such as ControlLogix,
MicroLogix, or CompactLogix.

When these modules are used as part of a SNAP PAC System running a PAC Control strategy, the strategy logic can
automatically perform the calculations and respond to problems.

Compatibility: SNAP-AIPM modules work with SNAP PAC brains and R-series controllers. They also work with legacy
SNAP Ethernet-based brains.

NOTE: If you need to monitor 3-phase power, see the SNAP-AIPM-3 and the SNAP-AIPM-3V.

0 to 250 VAC RMS
Input Over Range To 275 volts
Resolution 10 mV
Accuracy (47 to 63 Hz) (When used within recommended range)

Input Filtering Time constant = 70 µs (analog front end)
(–0.2 dB at 660 Hz; –3 dB at 1.89 kHz) nominal
Input Resistance – Single Ended 1 Megohm
NOTE: Because both channels share the same reference terminal, polarity must be
observed
when connecting the current channel.
Maximum Input 300 V non-operating

Input Filtering Time constant = 105 µs (analog front end)
(–0.2 dB at 660 Hz; –3 dB at 1.89 kHz) nominal
Input Resistance – Single Ended 0.005 Ohm
NOTE: Because both channels share the same reference terminal, polarity must be
observed
when connecting the voltage channel.
Maximum Input 15 A continuous, non-operating
