The InterGrator i is a 16 port serial communications controller with a PCI bus interface. The controller has its own processor and memory and is ideal for embedded applications. It is supplied with a developers help kit to assist in developing software programs which can be downloaded onto the controller. Each port can be configured either synchronously or asynchronously. The controller requires an external interface and can be connected to Comtrol’s range of RocketPort external interfaces for RS232 and RS422 communications. The controller can additionally be used with the InterGrator Universal Interface, allowing each port to be configured for RS232, RS422, RS423, RS485, and Current Loop. |

System Features:
- 16 ports which can be configured for Synchronous or Asynchronous communication
- NEC V53 16MHz processor (Intel Binary Compatible) on the board
- 1 MB of DRAM memory
- Complies with industry standard ESCC Z85230 (USART)
- PCI Bus Interface
- Most flexible interface configuration available on the market
Developers Help Kit
The Developers Help Kit from Comtrol Europe has a unique Windows based Control Centre program (see screen capture below). Software can be downloaded to the InterGrator i, the ports can be opened, data transferred and modem control signals changed by a click of the mouse from the Control Centre program. The Control Centre software is based on KRFTech’s Windriver Device Driver Development Toolkit. A 30 day evaluation copy is included with the Help Kit. Supplied on CDROM is a comprehensive 120 page developers guide for the InterGrator i, sample on board control program, sample loader program, Win 95/98/NT port drivers, installation programs and Acrobat Reader 4.0. The source code for the port drivers can be provided on the understanding that the developer is a current member of the Microsoft Developers Program.
To assist with debugging the embedded application, Borland’s remote turbo debugger is included in the InterGrator i’s firmware. No need for expensive emulators. In addition, an optional PC back plate is provided to developers. This back plate has a DB9 connector for connecting a remote PC to allow on board software debugging, a switch to reset the board without having to reboot the PC and a switch to invoke the terminal debugger. The terminal debugger is an additional debug tool similar to the DOS Debug utility and can be used with an ascii terminal or terminal emulation software running on a PC.
Developer Help Kit Features:
- Unique Windows based Control Centre program (allows software download and port manipulation)
- Comprehensive Developer Guide (CDROM)
- Working sample downloader & on board control program source
- Windows 95/98 & NT Port Drivers (source code available please note conditions)
- Turbo Debugger Remote and Terminal Debugger
- Back-plate with switches for board reset, terminal debugger and DB9 connector for Turbo debugger remote.
- 30 day evaluation copy of KRFTech’s Windriver.
