The DB116 has a DB9 male connector that plugs directly on to any RS-232 serial peripheral device. Any standard CAT5 patch cable can then be used to connect a 4161 or 4163 to the serial device. Note: Picture shows both sides of modular adapter. Unit quantity is one. DB9 Male to RJ45 - Preconfigured for 4161/4163 (RS-232)

  • DB9 pin-2 (RX) is connected to RJ45 pin-5
  • DB9 pin-3 (TX) is connected to RJ45 pin-4
  • DB9 pin-4 (DTR) is connected to RJ45 pin-2
  • DB9 pin-5 (GND) is connected to RJ45 pin-3
  • DB9 pin-6 (DSR) is connected to RJ45 pin-7
  • DB9 pin-7 (RTS) is connected to RJ45 pin-1
  • DB9 pin-8 (CTS) is connected to RJ45 pin-8
