SNAP-B3000-ENET SNAP Ethernet I/O Brain - Analog/Digital/Serial

NOTE: Although fully supported and still in production, this is a legacy product and not recommended for new designs.
For new designs, the SNAP-PAC-EB1 brain is more powerful and costs less. Or, if you require PPP communication over a
modem, we recommend the SNAP-PAC-R1 on-the-rack controller.

--------------

The SNAP-B3000-ENET Ethernet I/O brain is a compact I/O and communications processor that connects real-world
analog, digital, and serial devices with Ethernet networks for monitoring, control, and data acquisition.

The brain can be used in an I/O unit as part of a SNAP PAC control system or in an independent I/O unit.

The SNAP-B3000-ENET is mounted on a SNAP B-series rack with up to 16 analog, digital, and serial SNAP I/O modules.
The brain offers local intelligence for I/O features such as latching, high-speed counting, quadrature counters,
thermocouple linearization, scaling, clamping, and 16 PID loops.

In addition to I/O features, the brain provides communication options including 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, PPP over a
modem connection, Modbus/TCP, OPC, SNMP, and SMTP.

Power Requirements 5.0 to 5.2 VDC at 1.0 A maximum (does not include module power requirements)
Operating Temperature 0 to 70 °C
Storage Temperature -40 to 85 °C
Humidity 0–95% humidity, non-condensing
Network Interface IEEE 802.3 network, 10Base-T and 100Base-TX
Serial Port RS-232 (for modem connection using PPP; also for programming and maintenance)
Serial Data Rates Default is 19,200 kBd; baud rate is soft-selectable from 2400 to 115,200 kBd.
Maximum Ethernet Segment Length 100 meters with Category 5 or superior UTP.
For 100 Mbps at this distance, use Category 5 or superior solid UTP.
