SNAP PAC System. Typically, the SNAP-SCM-MCH16 works with a SNAP PAC controller running a PAC Control
programming strategy to control up to 16 stepper motors.
A single SNAP-SCM-MCH16 links up to four SNAP-SCM-BB4 motion control breakout boards. Each breakout board is
equipped with a Magellan(TM) processor chip set that outputs pulse and direction signals for up to four stepper motor
systems.
Part of the SNAP PAC System, the module mounts on a SNAP PAC rack with a SNAP PAC brain or rack-mounted
controller. Analog, digital, and serial I/O modules can all be on the same rack. Such an I/O unit is also well suited for
PC-based control or for use as intelligent remote I/O for an Allen-Bradley MicroLogix PLC or other RSLogix-based
system, such as ControlLogix or CompactLogix.
