SEALEVEL POE-SP-EX Power Over Ethernet Extractor
The POE-SP-EX is a Power over Ethernet extractor that allows you to quickly and conveniently power your Sealevel SeaI/O Ethernet digital I/O module or Ethernet serial server. Using the POE-SP-EX, you never have to worry if a power outlet is nearby. The extractor includes a 5V/12V switch that allows it to work with virtually any 5V or 12V Ethernet device up to 100 meters (328 feet) away from a PoE endspan switch or midspan injector. Select the appropriate voltage and connect the extractor to the network near your Sealevel Ethernet device. Using the supplied network patch cable and power cord, connect your Sealevel device to the extractor. You are now ready to use your Sealevel device. The POE-SP-EX is for use with existing PoE installations where an endspan network switch or midspan injector already exists. The POE-SP-EX is IEEE 802.3af compliant so you are assured that it will work with other compliant PoE devices. For new Power over Ethernet installations, order the POE-SP-KT, which includes both a PoE injector and PoE extractor.
