SEALEVEL POE-SP-KT Power Over Ethernet Kit
For new Power over Ethernet installations, the POE-SP-KT allows you to quickly and conveniently power your Sealevel SeaI/O Ethernet digital I/O module or Ethernet serial server. You never have to worry if a power outlet is near your Ethernet I/O device. The POE-SP-KT is made up of two primary parts – a PoE injector and a PoE extractor. Connect the injector to a power outlet with the included power supply and then connect to your network. The injector requires no setup and supplies power and data to the extractor, up to 100 meters away (328 feet). The extractor includes a 5V/12V switch that allows it to work with virtually any 5V or 12V Ethernet device. Select the appropriate voltage and connect the extractor to the network near your Sealevel Ethernet device. Using the supplied network patch cable and power cord, connect your Sealevel device to the extractor. You are now ready to use your Sealevel device. The POE-SP-KT is only for adding a new power over Ethernet solution where both units will be used together, and is not for use with existing PoE network installations. If you already have a PoE endspan network switch or PoE midspan injector, order the POE-SP-EX that provides an IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE extractor.
